The concessions redevelopment program is designed to offer passengers new and improved choices for shopping and dining, services, and amenities. The first significant upgrade to Midway International Airport’s concessions program in nearly 20 years delivers new local offerings, national brands, new healthy options and expanded retail offerings.
Total concessions area will increase from 44,000 square feet to 70,000 square feet. The full redevelopment is being implemented in a phased approach and will cover more than 70 concessions locations .
More than 50 new brands will join the lineup at Midway with food and shopping options available in all concourses. When complete, the redevelopment program will feature:
To construct an expansion and renovation of all new and existing concessions locations, Midway Partnership LLC is investing $75 million. The redevelopment program will double the number of concessions jobs from 700 to 1,400.
The program has brought in a mix of concepts giving passengers many more dining and retail options, including new local favorites.
A new Food Hall opened on Concourse A in Fall 2018 bringing more than 14,000 square-feet of unused space online and introducing five food and beverage options, one retail location and a brand new food court with public seating for Midway travelers to enjoy.

The concessions transformation began in Summer 2017, with the first wave of brands opening Spring 2018.
